Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)
Formerly known as the Soil Conservation Service (SCS), the NRCS is responsible for assisting owners of America's private land with conserving their soil, water, and other natural resources by providing technical assistance, financial incentives, and cost sharing opportunities with local conservation districts. The NRCS is the federal partner with the District.

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ)
Formerly known as the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission (TNRCC), the TCEQ is the lead environmental agency for the State of Texas and administers rules for the design and evaluation of dams, issues NPDES permits, and issues permits for construction within the recharge zone and contributing zones of the Edwards Acquifer.

Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB)
The TSSWCB is the lead agency for the planning, management and abatement of agricultural and silvicultural nonpoint source pollution and offers technical assistance to the state's 216 soil and water conservation districts.

The TWDB is the state agency charged with statewide water resources planning and administration of low-interest financial programs for the planning, design and construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control and agricultural water conservation projects.

United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
The USACE serves the nation through water resources, environmental, infrastructure, disasters, and warfighting services. The USACE is the major federal regulatory agency in evaluation, design, and construction of dams and in issuing section 404 permits for construction within the waters of the United States and within wetlands.
