Upper Brushy Creek WCID... Following a nationwide search and competitive hiring process, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to hire Alysha Girard as the new General Manager for Upper Brushy Creek WCID. Her first day of employment is September 17, 2018.

Upper Brushy Creek WCID, a political subdivision of the state of Texas, is responsible for maintaining and improving flood control structures and taking appropriate measures to protect public safety as well as economic infrastructure of the District, in consultation and cooperation with other governmental entities.

Girard is a resident of the District, located primarily in Williamson County, Texas, where she served at the City of Round Rock for 20 years most recently as the Stormwater Programs Manager.

"The Board is very excited about hiring Alysha Girard," said Mike Freeman, President of the Upper Brushy Creek WCID. "She brings a great deal of experience in local government and knowledge of our watershed, which gives her a unique understanding and perspective of the District’s opportunities and challenges."

Girard received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M and a Master in Business Administration with a Public Administration focus from St. Edwards University. She is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a Certified Flood Manager.
